On 5/5/2025, a delegation from the Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority (HEZA), led by Le Trung Kien, member of the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong City Party Committee and Head of HEZA, worked with the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Hai Duong Province. The working visit focused on discussing coordination solutions and preparing for the administrative merger process under Resolution 60-NQ/TW, toward sustainable regional economic development.

At the meeting, the two sides held in-depth discussions on industrial-park management, investment attraction, administrative reform and digital transformation. Solutions for connecting transport infrastructure and building an integrated industrial supply chain were also emphasized to optimize the economic potential of the northern key region. Le Trung Kien affirmed that coordination in implementing the merger activities of the management boards between Hai Phong and Hai Duong under Resolution 60-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee and Conclusion No. 555-KL/TUHP-TUHD on developing the Scheme for merging Hai Duong Province and Hai Phong City of the Standing Committees of the two provinces and cities is a key factor in improving regional competitiveness.
Hai Duong leaders highly valued Hai Phong’s proactive approach and committed to coordinating the implementation of specific tasks. The two sides agreed to review mechanisms and policies, integrate management data, and put forward proposals and tasks for each side.
The meeting concluded with a high level of consensus, laying the foundation for coordinated plans to implement the specific merger process. The issues discussed will be reported to the Party committees of the two localities, toward building a unified, modern and dynamic Hai Phong and enhancing the region’s economic position internationally.
