On the morning of November 19, 2025, Chairman of the Hai Phong City People’s Committee Le Ngoc Chau chaired a meeting with senior leaders of the CTP Invest Group and Kinh Bac Group consortium. Also attending were Le Trung Kien, City Party Committee Standing Committee member, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee and Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority, and leaders of city departments and agencies.
The city affirmed its vision of becoming a high-tech industrial centre and highly appreciated the proposal to develop an “Integrated Seaport, Airport, Logistics and Industry Complex”—a key step in the sustainable development orientation of the port city.
Chairman Le Ngoc Chau speaks.
At the meeting, the Chairman introduced key information about the city and its development orientation, especially the development of the Southern Coastal Economic Zone and the Free Trade Zone. Hai Phong has set clear development goals to become a modern and sustainable industrial centre. The city focuses particularly on industrialisation and modernisation, with high-tech sectors such as semiconductors, robotics, AI and renewable energy. At the same time, Hai Phong is pursuing green and ecological transformation and developing sustainable solutions using advanced technologies to ensure a good living environment. Another important goal is to make Hai Phong a leading national centre for the marine economy, high-quality tourism and clean-energy logistics services.
With this vision, Hai Phong highly values the development cooperation proposal from the CTP–Kinh Bac consortium. The consortium’s proposal for an “Integrated Seaport, Airport, Logistics and Industry Complex” is not only a major and ambitious strategic project but also highly timely. Cooperation would cover the development of economic zones and industrial infrastructure, investment in industrial park, economic zone and logistics infrastructure, and the development of ready-built and made-to-order factories to meet investors’ needs. It would also include coordinated development of international seaport and airport systems to create strong connections with industrial parks and logistics networks.
