Glorious Vietnam Art Programme and Fireworks Celebrate National Day in Western Hai Phong

On the evening of September 2, at Xu Dong Cultural Centre Square, the city’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organised a special art programme entitled “Glorious Vietnam” to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945–August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945–September 2, 2025).

City leaders, department representatives and residents attend the programme.

Produced and performed by the Xu Dong Cheo Theatre, the programme comprised two parts: “The Sacred History of Vietnam” and “An Era of Rising”. Outstanding song and dance performances recreated the nation’s heroic history, praised the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, the homeland and the country, and affirmed the aspiration to rise during the period of renewal and integration.

Residents enthusiastically enjoy each performance.

The programme featured acclaimed artists including People’s Artist Manh Thang, Meritorious Artists Hong Tuoi and Hanh Bay, singer Doan Hong Hanh (winner of Sao Mai 2022), singer Dat Ozy, rapper Cong Beat, performers and musicians of the Xu Dong Cheo Theatre, and the Lavish, Diamond and Binh Minh dance troupes. They brought audiences emotional performances. In particular, “August Nineteenth”, “Praising President Ho”, “A Country Full of Joy”, “Continuing the Story of Peace”, “The Open New Road”, “Our Hai Phong” and the mashup “The Road We Take – Join Hands” received an enthusiastic response from residents across the city.

With elaborate staging, modern sound and lighting, “Glorious Vietnam”, together with a spectacular fireworks display, created an impressive artistic celebration and left beautiful emotions in the hearts of residents in the western part of the city on this major national anniversary.
