On the afternoon of May 26, 2026, a central working delegation of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for the project “Renewing the country’s development model based on science, technology, innovation and digital transformation” conducted a field survey at Hateco Hai Phong International Container Port, Lach Huyen Port Area, Cat Hai Special Zone, Hai Phong City.

Participants included Mr. Nguyen Duc Hien, Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission; Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Tien, Vice Chairman of Hateco Hai Phong International Container Port; representatives of the central delegation and the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee; and leaders of city departments, sectors and the Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority.

Leaders of Hateco Group Joint Stock Company and Hateco Hai Phong International Container Port reported on the port’s scale, capacity and operating efficiency; the results of applying science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in port construction and operations; and logistics connections and links with different modes of transport in the city.

Following the reports, the delegation and leaders of city departments and sectors discussed solutions to promote seaport development and the application of high technology in Hai Phong’s seaport sector.
