On February 25, Le Trung Kien, Member of the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority (HEZA), attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Jeil Logistics 1 Project in Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park.
The project, developed by Korea’s Jeil Group and pioneering logistics operations in Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park, will apply modern technologies and help make Hai Phong an important logistics hub in northern Vietnam. Its implementation will contribute significantly to the city’s development, create jobs, and support social welfare. It will also serve as a driving project for attracting logistics-chain projects from around the world, particularly from Korea, in the years ahead.

Speaking at the ceremony, HEZA Head Le Trung Kien emphasized that the groundbreaking marked an important milestone, demonstrating the investor’s determination and sustained efforts, as well as the companionship and support of the city authorities, departments, agencies, and relevant units. The achievements of Korean investors in Hai Phong clearly show that the city is an attractive destination suited to investment and business. They also help consolidate and deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Korea.

On behalf of the city leadership, the HEZA Head acknowledged and commended the investor’s efforts in preparing and implementing the project on schedule and safely. He also asked the investor to continue upholding its sense of responsibility, promote efficient and sustainable activities, and closely coordinate with the city in workforce training, improving worker welfare, and carrying out social-welfare programs.

The HEZA Head asked the company to study and apply advanced, environmentally friendly technologies aimed at reducing emissions, and to join the city on its green-transition journey in industrial production and services. Hai Phong City pledged to continue accompanying the investor and providing maximum support so that the project can be implemented smoothly and operate effectively over the long term. HEZA and the city’s departments and agencies will stay closely engaged and remain ready to create the best conditions for the company’s sustainable development in the city.
