(Haiphong.gov.vn) — On the afternoon of April 9, Mr. Le Tien Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee and Head of the Hai Phong National Assembly Delegation, chaired a working session between city leaders and FPT Corporation, at which the parties signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement.
Also attending were Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People’s Committee; Mr. Do Manh Hien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; members of the City Party Committee Standing Committee; deputy chairpersons of the City People’s Council and People’s Committee; representatives of relevant departments, sectors and agencies; and universities in the city. FPT Corporation was represented by Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of the Corporation.
Speaking at the session, Secretary Le Tien Chau emphasized that, as the country was determined to concretize and implement Politburo Resolution No. 57 on breakthrough development of science and technology, innovation and national digital transformation, the willingness to cooperate between Hai Phong City and FPT Corporation demonstrated both sides’ determination to implement digital transformation projects and train high-quality human resources. He said breakthrough development in science and technology and digital transformation was not merely a trend but an inevitable requirement of Vietnam’s socioeconomic development, including Hai Phong’s development. Hai Phong had selected FPT as an important partner to accelerate digital transformation in various fields while creating favorable conditions for FPT to successfully build its ecosystem in Hai Phong City, a key growth pole in the North.
Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation, affirmed that the decisive direction of city leaders and the urgent engagement of departments, sectors and localities were important prerequisites for FPT to place its full confidence in investing in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation projects in the city sooner and faster. This would help Hai Phong take the lead in the national digital transformation roadmap and develop digital government, a digital economy and a digital society. FPT Corporation committed to coordinating with the city to operate modern public services, ensuring strong digital transformation progress in the areas requested by Hai Phong and contributing to the city’s socioeconomic development.
At the session, city leaders and FPT Corporation signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement on digital transformation, science and technology development, innovation and high-quality human-resource training in Hai Phong through 2030.
The agreement covers: development of synchronized and modern digital infrastructure and platforms; development of the digital economy and support for enterprises’ digital transformation; development of a science, technology and innovation ecosystem; development of a high-tech industrial park and related functional areas; development of high-quality human resources; institution building and improvement; development of digital data; building digital government; and development of a digital society.
The city will facilitate FPT Corporation’s access to Hai Phong departments, commissions and sectors to study operations, assess the current situation and understand the city’s needs for science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation. FPT Corporation committed to invest its best resources to meet Hai Phong’s development needs in these areas and implement projects suited to its capacity under assignments from the Hai Phong People’s Committee and in accordance with the law./.
