Against the backdrop of the United States’ decision to postpone reciprocal tariffs of up to 46% on 90% of imports from Vietnam for 90 days (from April to early July 2025), the Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority (HEZA) promptly took action, demonstrating responsibility and enthusiastic partnership with enterprises. With a weekend duty plan throughout April, May and June 2025, HEZA is making every effort to help businesses maximize this “golden period,” maintain production and business momentum and promote economic growth.
Timely action and comprehensive support
Immediately after Official Letter No. 1647/BQL-VP, HEZA implemented a weekend duty plan, assigning leaders and professional staff to remain on duty at the office on Saturdays and Sundays. The aim is to promptly receive and resolve administrative procedures and support enterprises in key areas such as investment, labor, natural resources and the environment, construction planning and services at the One-Stop Shop.
With the principle that “businesses are at the center,” HEZA publicly listed the leaders and specialists on duty together with detailed contact telephone numbers, making it easier for enterprises to connect when support is needed.
