Amid the festive atmosphere marking the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hai Phong (13/5/1955 – 13/5/2025) and the 2025 Red Flamboyant Festival, Hai Phong City solemnly launched and inaugurated a number of key projects, marking strong progress across multiple fields. Four large-scale projects stood out: Trang Due 3 Industrial Park; Phase 1 of the Pegatron Vietnam employee housing area; the social housing area in Dong Hai 2 Ward, Hai An District; and the Singapore International Education Complex. These are not only strategic projects for industrial development, social welfare and education, but also vivid evidence of the Port City’s aspiration to reach further and become a leading economic center in the northern region.
Trang Due 3 Industrial Park infrastructure construction and business investment project: A launchpad for high-tech industry

On 11/5/2025, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Trang Due 3 Industrial Park infrastructure construction and business investment project in An Lao District marked a new step in Hai Phong’s industrial development strategy. Covering 652,73 ha with total investment of more than 8.000 billion VND, the project builds on the success of Trang Due 1 and 2 Industrial Parks, which host major groups such as LG with total investment of nearly 11 billion USD.
Trang Due 3 Industrial Park is oriented toward attracting high-tech industries, supporting industries and environmentally friendly manufacturing. Modern infrastructure, including a 6-lane traffic system, clean water supply of 20.000 m³/day and a large-capacity wastewater treatment plant, will meet the needs of international investors. The project is expected to create jobs for tens of thousands of workers, promote the local economy and strengthen Hai Phong’s position on the global industrial map.

Also on this occasion, Phase 1 of the Pegatron Vietnam Co., Ltd. employee housing project in Dong Hai 2 Ward, Hai An District, was inaugurated, providing a practical solution to workers’ housing needs. Covering 5,04 ha with investment of 68,3 million USD (approximately 1.600 billion VND), the project comprises 4 buildings for workers, 2 buildings for staff and 1 modern amenities building, providing accommodation for approximately 10.000 people.
Invested in by Pegatron, an electronic components manufacturing partner of Apple, the housing area not only addresses accommodation needs but also improves living conditions and helps workers work with peace of mind. The project demonstrates Hai Phong’s efforts to ensure social welfare and create a favorable environment for attracting investment and high-quality labor.
Dong Hai 2 social housing area: A step forward for sustainable social welfare

The groundbreaking ceremony for the social housing project in Dong Hai 2 Ward, Hai An District, on 11/5/2025, marked an important milestone in the strategy to care for people’s livelihoods. Covering nearly 22,5 ha, the project will provide 117 row houses, 14 apartment buildings with nearly 2.500 quality apartments, together with synchronous technical infrastructure.
The project aims to meet the housing needs of workers, officials and low-income people, contributing to social stability and attracting workers to Hai Phong. Once completed, this modern urban area will drive socio-economic development in Hai An District and affirm the city’s role in realizing the social welfare policies of the Party and State.
Singapore International Education Complex: A step toward international-standard education

The inauguration of the Singapore International Education Complex in Le Chan District was an important milestone, affirming Hai Phong’s efforts to improve education quality and integrate internationally. Covering 3,04 ha with total investment of approximately 360 billion VND, Singapore International School was built according to a modern education model and can accommodate 1.500 students from preschool through upper secondary school.
The school is equipped with comprehensive facilities, experienced teachers and a curriculum combining the strengths of international education with Vietnamese cultural values. It provides a comprehensive learning environment in which students develop knowledge, skills and character, while opening access to international-standard education for students in Hai Phong and neighboring areas. The project contributes to the strategy of developing high-quality human resources and meeting the city’s integration and socio-economic development needs.
Spreading the spirit of innovation and reaching further
The four key projects launched and inaugurated on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hai Phong are not only important milestones in the city’s urban development, but also clearly demonstrate its strategic vision in industry, social welfare and education.
The initial success of these projects results from close coordination among the city authorities, departments, sectors and localities, HEZA, and the active support of investors and businesses. The concerted involvement of the entire political system and business community has created new momentum for Hai Phong to advance toward becoming a modern industrial, education and service center in the northern region.
