This is the most important political event in Hai Phong after the merger, creating new development space and putting the city’s two-tier local government into operation from July 1, 2025.
This morning, June 30, 2025, a ceremony was held at the Hai Phong City Convention Center to announce central and local decisions on the merger of provincial- and commune-level administrative units, completion of the operation of district-level administrative units, establishment of Party organizations, and designation of Party committees, People’s Councils, People’s Committees and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees in Hai Phong City, its communes and wards.
