Under the theme “Hai Phong – Confidence and Aspiration to Rise with the Nation”, the city’s display introduces and promotes an innovative, developing and internationally integrated Hai Phong through outstanding achievements in economic development; external relations and international integration; social security; national defence and security; science, education and training; and culture, sports and tourism.

Through images, artefacts and multimedia products, the exhibition recreates the 80-year journey of Hai Phong’s armed forces and people in fighting, building and defending the Fatherland under the leadership of the Party, while affirming the role and position of the Port City in the country’s overall development.

Hai Phong’s indoor exhibition area is located at Kim Quy House (Lobby 7, the “Rich Country, Strong Nation” zone) and covers 375 m². It is presented through 11 main thematic groups: the city’s economic, cultural, social, external-relations, defence and security achievements in 1945–1955, 1955–1986 and 1986–2025; the echoes of “Thunder on Route 5”; Hai Phong waterways – connecting trade and reaching the world; Hai Phong – an industrial city and development driver for the country; infrastructure and urban development based on a sea-oriented historic city; Hai Phong – a heritage city and land of scholarship and outstanding talent; Hai Phong tourism – potential and advantages; green and sustainable agricultural development; Hai Phong culture – a driver of sustainable development; social security and improved quality of life for the people; and Hai Phong – a city of innovation and creativity. The exhibition content is arranged in five zones: the scale-model zone; the culture and heritage zone; the historical road – echoes of Thunder on Route 5; the agriculture, social security, external relations and defence zone; and the multi-level experience zone – the future in motion.

The city’s outdoor exhibition area in the eastern courtyard covers nearly 9,823 m² and brings together 80 representative booths reflecting Hai Phong’s economic strengths. They are divided into five main zones: high-tech industry, seaports and logistics; construction and real estate; high-tech agriculture and handicrafts; services and tourism; and the experience zone. With a rich, modern and highly interactive display space, the exhibition affirms the Port City’s role, position and strong aspiration to rise, deserving to be a development driver for the northern region and the country in the process of integration and development.

Through the exhibition, Hai Phong hopes to help create a joyful and celebratory atmosphere among all sections of the population; awaken patriotism, historical tradition, great national unity, pride and the will for national self-reliance; strengthen and deepen people’s faith in building and defending the Fatherland, renewal and international integration under the leadership of the Party; and affirm the major achievements of the city’s Party organisation, authorities, armed forces and people throughout their struggle, construction and growth.
