Hai Phong will inaugurate and break ground on 13 works and projects to mark the 79th anniversary of National Resistance Day and welcome the 14th National Party Congress.
On December 19, many major works across the country will break ground or be inaugurated to mark the 79th anniversary of National Resistance Day (December 19, 1946 – December 19, 2025) and welcome the 14th National Party Congress. The central government will organize 79 online and live broadcast venues on Vietnam Television. Hai Phong has been selected for two broadcast venues.
Venue 1 is the inauguration ceremony for several works under the Social Housing Project, part of the Trang Due New Urban Area – Commercial Services and Workers’ Housing Project in An Duong Ward. The project covers 31,369 m2 and includes social and workers’ housing with 2,538 apartments in 10 buildings. Total investment is VND1,600 billion.
Venue 2 is the groundbreaking ceremony for three grade-separated intersection construction investment projects at Le Hong Phong – Nguyen Trai, Bui Vien – Le Hong Phong, and Bui Vien – Vo Nguyen Giap streets, held in An Bien Ward, Le Chan. The three intersections have total investment of VND2,335 billion, including more than VND852 billion for Le Hong Phong – Nguyen Trai, more than VND707 billion for Bui Vien – Le Hong Phong, and more than VND775 billion for Bui Vien – Vo Nguyen Giap.

The Hai Phong City People’s Committee agreed to select 13 works and projects across the city for groundbreaking or inauguration ceremonies and to organize 11 venues.
In addition to the two venues connected to the central government, the other nine venues are located at the following works and projects:
Groundbreaking of the investment project for connecting infrastructure to stations and station squares along the railway (Component Project 1: investment in connecting infrastructure to stations and station squares under the Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong railway construction investment project). Location: the access-road area to Nam Hai Duong Station in Yet Kieu and Gia Loc communes.
Groundbreaking of the mixed-use construction investment project at Lot 1.14/CTHH-01 (Component Project 01: investment in a 41-story commercial services and apartment building). Location: the Bac Song Cam New Urban Area, Thuy Nguyen Ward.
Groundbreaking of the investment, construction, and infrastructure business project of Luong Dien – Ngoc Lien Industrial Park in Cam Giang Commune.
Groundbreaking of the An Tho Industrial Cluster in An Hung Commune.
Groundbreaking of the An Phu Industrial Cluster in Tran Lieu and Kinh Mon wards.
Groundbreaking of the Dung Tien – Giang Bien Industrial Cluster in Vinh Thuan Commune.
Groundbreaking of the housing construction investment project in the area of Alley 226 Le Lai, Ngo Quyen Ward.
Groundbreaking and foundation-laying for the project to build new emergency, technical and paraclinical buildings; technical, paraclinical, and inpatient facilities; and examination, administrative, technical, and inpatient facilities at Hai Duong General Hospital in Le Thanh Nghi Ward.
Groundbreaking of the Investment Project to build a logistics services center, a petroleum and cargo port, a petroleum depot, and a commercial services area covering 37.17 ha, with total investment of nearly VND1,989 billion, in Nguyen Dai Nang Ward.
The central government venue is located at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Olympic sports urban area in Thuong Phuc Commune, Hanoi, and will be broadcast live.
The city People’s Committee requested that events for the groundbreaking, inauguration, and foundation-laying of key city works and projects be organized solemnly, economically, effectively, safely, and in accordance with regulations.
