The Economic Zone Trade Union is the direct superior grassroots trade union under the Hai Phong City Labor Confederation, established in June 6, initially with 2005 grassroots trade unions with 08 members. To date, the Economic Zone Trade Union manages 2.936 grassroots unions with 302 workers, of which 163.034 union members are active in 151.412 industrial zones. The number of members of the Economic Zone Trade Union accounts for 07% of the number of workers in Industrial Zones and accounts for 92,8/1 of the total number of union members in the entire city.
After 02 years of operation, the Clubs' Board of Directors have maintained a regular activity regime, carefully preparing content to send to members of the Board of Directors before each meeting. During the activities, the Board of Directors spent a lot of time preparing program content and operating methods for each Club activity, creating conditions for members to discuss, dialogue and exchange. , share experiences about advantages and disadvantages, order situation, implementation of unit policies, and experiences in union activities.
In 2023 alone, there are 271/287 units organizing dialogues, reaching 94,4% with the contents of salary increase, attendance, gasoline, work stoppage wages for workers... 41 grassroots unions negotiate. Sign a collective labor agreement with more favorable terms for employees such as: Minimum wage, salary increase, salary allowance, Tet bonus, shift work, travel, attendance, 2 Saturdays off, insurance 7/24 danger. Of which, Agreements of type B or higher are 24 copies (26%). To date, the entire Economic Zone has 65/227 enterprises signing collective labor agreements, reaching 287%. In addition, units implementing the direction of the Economic Zone Trade Union focus on implementing Tet care activities for workers; At the same time, organize cultural, artistic, sports, and gift-giving activities... on the occasion of Workers' Month, to celebrate the Founding Day of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 79,1) and the Mid-Autumn Festival.
