Enterprises sign cooperation agreements with vocational training institutions: Commit to responsibility and participate together

(HPĐT)- According to the forecast of Heza Hai Phong Economic Zone, by 2025, enterprises in the zone will need to add more than 82.700 trained workers with college and university degrees or higher, in many fields with high professional and technical content such as: logistics, information technology, science and technology, electricity. Training efforts according to “orders”

In the 2024-2025 school year, many vocational training institutions are promoting the implementation of the "order-based" training mechanism. Principal of Hai Phong College of Economics Luu Thanh Tan said that in early October this year, the school signed a cooperation agreement with LG Electronics Vietnam Hai Phong Co., Ltd. This is an important event, opening up opportunities for hundreds of students of the school to intern at large enterprises, accessing the world's leading electronics manufacturing technologies. For LG Electronics Vietnam Hai Phong Co., Ltd., this is a condition for businesses to supplement and attract high-quality human resources, who are well-trained and meet their needs. This model also helps the school attract more students and trainees, build key industries, transfer technology applied in businesses, etc.

Clearly identifying the need to strengthen the relationship between schools and businesses to create "output" for students, vocational training institutions in the city have expanded their scope and partners. Dr. Luu Viet Hung, Principal of Maritime College 1, informed that after Resolution 03 regulating the policy of supporting training of a number of occupations in the city in the period of 2024-2030 took effect, the school recruited more than 1 full-time students (an increase of about 30% compared to last year), nearly 500 students of the 9+ system... In addition to strengthening traditional partnerships, to ensure employment for graduates in new professions, the school has expanded the introduction of interns to businesses operating in the fields of logistics, ship control... These cooperations bring practical benefits to learners. Ngo Trung Kien, a student of K16, Hai Phong College of Tourism, said: “Based on my choices, I decided to enroll in the Faculty of Culinary Arts. Not only because this is a major with tuition support from the city, what made me decide to study it is that the school cooperates with nearly 30 accommodation and service establishments. On the school's Facebook fanpage, recruitment information is often posted, students can "study and work at the same time", and soon have income, to reduce the economic burden on their families".

Need long term solutions

Although initial successes have been achieved in the cooperative and ordering relationship between schools and businesses, to ensure long-term suitability, there must be close, medium and long-term commitments. Head of the Administrative Department of Song Cam Shipbuilding Joint Stock Company Nguyen Huy Phuong informed that each year, the company needs to recruit 150-200 vocational students in the fields of ship hull manufacturing, electric welding, painting, etc. The company highly appreciates the training quality of the Central Transport School 2, so it promotes cooperation and training coordination. In recent years, the company has recruited more than 300 workers and laborers. It is expected that by 2030, the company will manufacture and build 60 new ships/year. Therefore, it is hoped that the school will create more favorable conditions for business officials to participate in the process of building a program framework and testing workers to ensure output meets the energy and needs of the business.

Along with that, information and updates on fluctuations in labor supply and demand need to be updated more frequently and proactively. Comrade Le Trung Kien, Head of the HAI PHONG ECONOMIC ZONE AUTHORITY, informed that in the coming time, along with supporting businesses to post recruitment information and recruitment needs, Heza Hai Phong Economic Zone will continue to strengthen support for foreign-invested enterprises to connect and cooperate with vocational training institutions in the city to train and improve the quality of local labor.

The trend of training according to business orders has been applied by many vocational training institutions in the city in recent times and has brought many positive effects in solving post-graduation problems for students, diversifying career guidance activities, affirming the role of vocational training activities in the practical context. However, not stopping at immediate, short-term cooperation, according to Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Pham Thi Huyen, vocational training institutions invite experts from enterprises to participate in giving opinions on building program content, practice time, applying advanced technology to practical teaching activities... and support guest lecturers, participating more deeply in the training process at schools, ensuring vocational training activities are compatible, suitable for the future human resource needs of enterprises.
