On the morning of July 14, 7, at the Football Stadium of Vietnam Maritime University, Hai Phong Economic Zone Trade Union organized a Sports and Physical Training Day for workers - Opening of the 2024 Men's and Women's Football Tournament.
Attending and cheering were representatives of the City Labor Federation, Economic Zone Party Committee, Hai Phong Football Federation, grassroots unions with participating football teams, and all male and female players. Athletes and employees of businesses participate in cheering for their sports teams.
Currently, the Economic Zone Trade Union manages 340 grassroots unions, including 4 administrative and non-business unions and 336 enterprise unions with 164.526 union members.

Comrade Dinh Thi Thuy Ha, Chairwoman of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Trade Union, said that this is one of a series of activities of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Trade Union to celebrate the 95th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union (28 July 7-July 1929, 28).
The 2024 Sports Festival of the Trade Union of Hai Phong Economic Zone has two contents: Table tennis and badminton competitions and the Men's and Women's Football Tournament. In particular, the badminton competition had 2 pairs participating; table tennis competition with 79 players.
Leaders of the Economic Zone Party Committee, City Labor Federation, and Economic Zone Trade Union presented souvenir flags to the athlete delegations.
The football tournament has 16 men's football teams (who have been qualified from industrial zones); 8 women's soccer teams from 48 grassroots unions in industrial zones. As for the Men's and Women's soccer tournament, the teams draw lots, divide into groups, compete in a round-robin competition, ranked, and select the first and second best teams to participate in the semi-finals and finals.

The Workers' Sports Festival and the 2024 Men's and Women's Football Tournament are not only an important sporting event but also the pride of the labor community of Hai Phong Economic Zone. Hopefully, in the coming years, Hai Phong Economic Zone Trade Union will continue to maintain and develop sports activities, creating a healthy and rewarding playground for workers.
